If the aim of classical internet trolling is to provoke the strongest, most emotional reaction in your trolling's targets, Second Life prankster Endwerc just pulled off the equivalent of a Paganini caprice. It starts with a simple question: "Oh my god, are you having sex with that baby? Can I join in?" What follows is a troll of otherworldly efficiency.

The target, brought almost instantly to a flawless fugue-like dissociative rage, replies:

Fuck off, you cunt! Fuck off! Fuck off, you fucking mongrel! Fuck off! I'll fucking rip your fucking head off! I'll stick your fucking ass! Stick your fucking head up your ass, you cunt. Fuck off. Fuck off. Fuck off! Yeah, fuck off. Fuck off, you fucking cunt. Fuck off!

Standing right here now, I'll fucking shoot you in the head you fucking cunt! Fuck off. Fuck off? Fuck off. Fuck off. Fuck off, you cunt!

You fucking cunt! You fucking mongrel! I'll fucking kill you! Fuck off!

He's in the fucking house, he's trying to rape our kids! Fuck off!

Mathematicians sometimes speak of "beauty" in mathematical proofs—as G.H. Hardy wrote in 1940 and Alec Wilson recently quoted in the New Yorker, proofs that "resemble a simple and clear-cut constellation, not a scattered cluster in the Milky Way."

By that standard, Endwerc's stunt—sending a man to the edge of madness with little more than a few carefully chosen words—ranks among the most beautiful trolls I've ever seen.
